Cochrane Decision Aid Registry

Developers can login to the Decision Aid Library Inventory (DALI) system to enter and manage the information about their decision aids for inclusion in the Cochrane Inventory (69 KB Excel file) and the A to Z Inventory.

The Cochrane Inventory, a resource for researchers, is a registry of ALL the decision aids identified to date by the Cochrane Systematic Review Group. It includes decision aids that are still under development and those that have been evaluated in research studies but are no longer available.

The A to Z Inventory, a resource for patients, is a registry of available decision aids meeting the following minimal inclusion criteria:

To be included in the A-Z Inventory decision aids must:

• satisfy the Cochrane definition of a patient decision aid

  Patient decision aids are interventions designed to help people make specific, deliberative choices by providing information about the options and outcomes that are relevant to a patient's health status and by clarifying personal values. They are intended as adjuncts to counseling.

• have a development process that includes expert review
• have an update policy
• support statements with scientific evidence
• disclose funding sources and/or conflict of interest

Using the links below you may download an Excel file of the current (or the previous 2004 ) version of the Cochrane Inventory to search for decision aids by developer or health topic.

The Cochrane Inventory is now being produced automatically from the Decision Aid Library Inventory (DALI) system. Developers wishing to have their decision aids included should register them using the online interface to DALI.
