About UsThe Patient Decision Aids Research Group was established in November 1995 to help patients and their health practitioners make "tough" healthcare decisions. "Tough" healthcare decisions may have many options, uncertain outcomes or benefits and harms that people value differently. We are part of the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and affiliated with the University of Ottawa. The team designs and tests decision aids and training programs for patients and health practitioners. The group was founded by Professor Annette O'Connor and is directed by Professor Dawn Stacey. Please contact us at decisionaid@ohri.ca with any comments or questions.
